We proudly open the second solo exhibition by Sabina Sakoh, which occupies a prominent and independent role in the current scene of representational painting. In her surreal large format canvases she uses design elements of antiquity, Gothic, Renaissance but also of Mannerism and of the 19th century, transforming the image ideas into the 21st century. In her symbol-based imagery, she takes on humanistic themes such as freedom, brotherhood and equality. Sabina Sakoh sets her focus on the political situation of the Federal Republic, without imposing any real concrete political statements or providing instructions.
